Very relatable! This especially got me: "why haven’t I written a novel, raised a family, travelled the world, done a PhD, _and_ started my own company?"

I suppose it's appropriate to compete with others in business, but even then, I think it's good advice to pick something one is good at and then focus on one's own continuous improvement rather than focusing on the competitors.

My biggest challenge with writing is that I have tons of notes and drafts but struggle to actually publish things. I will try to remind myself that it's not about being perfect, or better than anyone else, but as long as my own writing is getting better over time then I should be confident to keep going.
